      Saturday: Technique & Combinations
10am-12:30pm: Section One - Where fundamentals take flight! Strengthen understanding and execution of the basic movement vocabulary of Middle Eastern dance. Combinations stress musicality, expression, and basic performing skills. You'll receive feedback to pinpoint movement vocabulary needs and create your own practice list!

1:30pm-4pm: Section Two - Refining movement and emphasizing fluidity and transitions in a wider Middle Eastern dance movement vocabulary. Challenge yourself by stretching your technique boundaries with intense shimmy drills and layers. Combinations emphasize the "finishing touches" through transitions, traveling steps and arm movement that will enhance your individual performance style for improv or choreography.

      Sunday: Intermediate/Advanced Special Topics
      10am-12:30pm: Triple Threat Drum Solo
A finale of distinction for the dancer who desires to be the "total package"!
      • #1 Exciting and challenging choreography
      • #2 Lively musical interpretation showcases your technique
      • #3 Power Pointers to rev up your stage presence
Experience Kimahri's "intake system" teaching style and surprise yourself with how fast you'll learn a full drum solo! Don't just move — PERFORM!

      1:30pm-4:00pm - Hot for Sagat
Middle Eastern dance is all about visually interpreting the music—bellydancers are the original music videos! Learning the structure of popular rhythms is an essential step for improvising and creating choreography. Connect your dance to the music by playing finger cymbals—learn proper technique, how to create different sounds, how/when to play, learning the difference between a supporting musical role and being the star!
